We’re delighted that you’re intrigued by our private pet sessions!

Our primary objective is to capture the essence of your pet in a playful, imaginative, and artistic manner, ensuring you have timeless memories and captivating artwork to cherish and share.

Get ready for a session filled with laughter and adventure! We’ll start by getting to know each other, taking breaks for playfulness as needed.

Session Availability & Booking:

We are currently shooting portrait session in COLORADO SPRINGS and will announce the DENVER shoots when they come around. Private sessions are available for booking on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings and early afternoons.


Pet Portrait Pricing:

Your up-front cost is $149 (Normally $199) for the Private Portrait Session sitting fee. This fee covers the booking of the spot and allows us to prepare for the shoot. Print-wise, everything we offer is a la carte. Fine Art Prints start at $199 and go up according to size and if you get if framed. We have an amazing program to help you visualize what your prints will look like on your own walls, matted, framed and to scale.  It takes much of the guess work out of the process!

What about digital images?

Our focus is on creating artwork for your home, but we understand the desire for digital images, that’s why we include the accompanying digital file of any print purchased at no extra cost. If you decide you like more images than you could possibly have as prints, we also offer digital packages of 10 for $249 or 20 for $399. These packages are add-ons to any print purchase. We don’t offer a digital-only portrait session.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I prepare for our session? Bring along your pet’s favorite treats and toys to keep them engaged. Some pet owners prefer not to feed their dogs before the session to ensure they’re treat-motivated. Additionally, feel free to bring a couple of outfits if you’d like to be in the photos. If you’re unsure about what to wear, we’re here to assist you!

Can I join in some of the photoshoots? Absolutely! Dogs In Frames enjoys photographing both humans and their beloved pets together.

What if my pet isn’t well-trained or doesn’t cooperate? Not to worry! Dogs In Frames understands that working with animals can be unpredictable. Even if your pet isn’t perfectly trained, we’re patient and aim to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere during the session. Some of the best moments are captured amidst the chaos.

When are your sessions available? Dogs In Frames offers sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.

How many pets can I bring to a session? You’re welcome to bring up to two pets from the same household. Additional pets incur a fee of $100 each. Specific situations may vary, so feel free to contact us for further clarification.

Will I own the portraits from the session? No, here’s some clarification regarding ownership. All photos received from Dogs In Frames are for personal use only. Commercial usage, resale, or third-party distribution are not allowed without prior licensing. The copyright remains with the photographer, Dogs In Frames. Contact us if you’re interested in business usage or have any questions regarding licensing.

How long do sessions typically last? A standard studio or outdoor session lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Dogs In Frames doesn’t strictly adhere to a time limit and allows for flexibility to ensure the best outcome.

What kinds of animals does Dogs In Frames photograph? Dogs In Frames currently only captures dogs, but if you have a pet that you would like photographed thats not a dog, email me at shawn@dogsinframes.com and we will see what we can do!

Where do sessions take place? Currently the studio sessions will take place at my house or at a rented location. A studio location is being worked on for future shoots!

Can I obtain commercial or business use of an image? Yes, please reach out to initiate that discussion. Dogs In Frames is happy to discuss your options and determine the appropriate licensing rate based on various factors.

How many edited photos can I expect? While there’s no guarantee on the exact number of edited photos, Dogs In Frames typically delivers at least 10 for studio sessions, provided your pet cooperates well during the shoot.

THE FINE PRINT

Before we proceed, let’s cover some essential details so you can fully grasp our operational framework. Should you have any queries subsequent to perusing this, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at shawn@dogsinframes.com.

Exclusive Gallery/Print Boutique: Our meticulously edited photographs from the session are accessible via an online gallery proofing platform. These proofs become available within the agreed-upon timeframe, typically 3-4 weeks post-session, barring any exceptional circumstances. Once delivered, the online gallery remains accessible for a duration of 6 months. To uphold the utmost quality, all prints and products are sourced from esteemed vendors specializing in professional photography services, employing cutting-edge printing and color correction methodologies. It is imperative for clients to utilize these services to guarantee the excellence of the products. Our commitment is to deliver top-tier artwork. While numerous online printers may offer enticingly low prices, they often compromise on quality. We strongly advocate scheduling a visit to our studio post-session to view firsthand examples.

Deposit and Reservation Policy: A non-refundable down payment of $100 is requisite for all sessions, which will be deducted from the total collection cost. In the event of emergencies or inclement weather necessitating rescheduling, we accommodate such adjustments based on our availability. For other rescheduling requests, we kindly ask for a minimum notice period of 5 days.

Print Quality and Procurement: Our prints and products, sourced from reputable vendors catering to professional photographers, boast unparalleled quality owing to advanced printing and color correction techniques. It is mandatory for clients to procure prints through us to ensure optimal quality. Ensuring the delivery of premium artwork is our prerogative. Despite the proliferation of online printing services offering seemingly attractive rates, they often fall short in terms of quality. We urge clients to personally come back to visit for the unwrapping of the product that was purchased.

Intellectual Property Rights: Dogs In Frames retains the copyright for all images produced. These images are safeguarded by United States copyright laws. Any unauthorized printing, copying, scanning, editing, or reproduction of the photographs or digital images is strictly prohibited without prior written consent. We reserve the right to utilize session photographs for promotional activities, including but not limited to advertising, display, website promotion, competitions, publications, or any other purposes deemed appropriate by Dogs In Frames. Copyright ownership extends to all works produced under this contract, encompassing original and processed images. Any duplication or modification of original images without written authorization is expressly prohibited. Exceptions are made for cropping for social media use, such as Facebook profile pictures and Instagram posts. In the event of unauthorized actions, we reserve the right to request the removal of such images as they would no longer accurately represent our work.

Stock Photography: Your beloved pets have the potential to achieve fame! We collaborate with companies globally, supplying photographs for various applications including greeting cards, websites, and merchandise. Images featuring human subjects will not be included in our stock photography gallery unless explicit consent has been obtained from the individuals photographed.

Safety Measures: You are solely responsible for the conduct of your pets and any other subjects during the session, encompassing any damage to personal, commercial, or public property, personal injury, or legal infractions. It is imperative to be aware of your pet’s behavior and limitations prior to the session. Please disclose any behavioral issues or aggressiveness beforehand. Dogs In Frames reserves the right to terminate sessions and vacate the premises if confronted with inappropriate, threatening, or hostile behavior from individuals or pets, or if safety is compromised. Our operations are subject to the regulations and guidelines of the respective shoot locations, and any fines resulting from breaches of laws or ordinances are the client’s responsibility. We offer technical advice exclusively.

Leash Policy: Dogs must be leashed at all times, including within our studio premises. Adjacent to our studio is a dog training facility, and dogs are frequently trained or walked in the parking lot.

Travel Arrangements: Our services encompass travel to locations within a 30-minute radius of Colorado Springs at no additional cost. If your location exceeds this distance, kindly contact us for applicable travel rates. We undertake travel both domestically and internationally, covering various regions within the US and Canada. For specific travel inquiries, please reach out to us directly.
